A collision led to Gradec getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Mitko Stefanov hit a great ball. With a little luck, Dzepčište Partizan's Armend Dedej got control of the ball when Nedelko Trajcevski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armend Dedej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ante Jovanovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Ante Jovanovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gradec's Goran Naumovski got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Grčevski in the 23rd minute of play forced Gradec's goalkeeper Goce Vasilev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nedelko Trajcevski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nenad Ickovski in the 30th minute of play forced Gradec's goalkeeper Goce Vasilev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Ante Jovanovski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gradec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ante Jovanovski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nedelko Trajcevski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armend Dedej having to interfere. Ante Jovanovski might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armend Dedej. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ante Jovanovski ran back to his position shaking his head. Nedelko Trajcevski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Armend Dedej tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Dzepčište Partizan's goalkeeper Armend Dedej had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nedelko Trajcevski. Armend Dedej was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Ante Jovanovski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ante Jovanovski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nenad Ickovski made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gradec's zone, Ivo Grčevski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Goce Vasilev came out of the goal and Ivo Grčevski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Dzepčište Partizan's Lefter Zlatanov got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rdth minute of the game Nedelko Trajcevski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dzepčište Partizan's Armend Dedej was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute, Goran Naumovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th match minute, Gradec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitko Stefanov to maneuver through the defense. Goce Vasilev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nenad Ickovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dzepčište Partizan's Nenad Ickovski got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivo Grčevski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goce Vasilev having to interfere. The Gradec fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Gradec's Ante Jovanovski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 86th minute, Nenad Ickovski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Goran Naumovski kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Nenad Ickovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Gligor Georgievski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gradec and the Dzepčište Partizan players grew even worse after the yellow card.
