The audience thought a goal was coming when Milo Nikoloski got free with Živko Kaevski in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cvetan Zaharievski to strike the kick off in the second half. Kažani Napredok's Nedelko Dukov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Kažani Napredok from getting a goal against them. After 56 played minutes Kažani Napredok got a freekick which was hit by Dobrica Ljapčev. In the 61st minute, Milo Nikoloski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kažani Napredok fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Makedonija.G.P supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Makedonija.G.P would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
