The supporters of Young Boys booed when Dračevo Sloboda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatos Mironov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenij Jankovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Savo Pandev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulo José Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th match minute, Young Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dzemail Angelov to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilija Savič in the 18th minute of play forced Young Boys's goalkeeper Arsenij Jankovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Slave Nastevski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dračevo Sloboda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 1-1 became the score in the 22nd minute when Paulo José Guimarães elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Josif Berišaj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Guimarães in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Dračevo Sloboda's Josif Berišaj got control of the ball when Ramazan Ilmen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo José Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josif Berišaj having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Zdravko Hajdaraga put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Josif Berišaj. Paulo José Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Josif Berišaj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Savo Pandev made the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Savo Pandev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Young Boys's Arsenij Jankovski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Zdravko Hajdaraga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dračevo Sloboda's Josif Berišaj was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Josif Berišaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Guimarães in the 64th minute of play. Dzemail Angelov hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Young Boys's Zdravko Hajdaraga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josif Berišaj narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dračevo Sloboda's Ilija Savič got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dračevo Sloboda's zone, Ramazan Ilmen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josif Berišaj came out of the goal and Ramazan Ilmen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ilija Savič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Ramazan Ilmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Young Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramazan Ilmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josif Berišaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Guimarães in the 92nd minute of play. Young Boys walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
