Baškim Mitkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vuk Zmejkovski having to interfere. Tresonče were furious when Diljan Ilič was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Tresonče:s Barjet Vidoevski showed great skill when he stopped Tase Kočiu:s penalty. Nedelko Nakjev's late challenge caught a Tresonče's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nedelko Nakjev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Nedelko Nakjev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tresonče getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Miško Milev hit a great ball. When Gavril Vidoevski came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Modrič Partizan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavril Vidoevski couldn't finish the play. Barjet Vidoevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Vidoevski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Gavril Vidoevski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barjet Vidoevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baškim Mitkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Vuk Zmejkovski made a huge save. If Andrej Nastev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Modrič Partizan's Andrej Nastev got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barjet Vidoevski made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gavril Vidoevski sent off a good shot on target. Modrič Partizan were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Tresonče's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tase Kočiu took the corner. If Andrej Nastev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavril Vidoevski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Barjet Vidoevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barjet Vidoevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrej Nastev in the 64th minute of play. Nderim Panev hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Andrej Nastev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Modrič Partizan's Dobre Vidoevski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Barjet Vidoevski but with some difficulty. Kosta Zdravev's late challenge caught a Modrič Partizan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kosta Zdravev helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tresonče's Kosta Zdravev got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tresonče's goalkeeper Barjet Vidoevski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute Andrej Nastev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barjet Vidoevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andrej Nastev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Gavril Vidoevski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 82 minutes into the match, Andrej Nastev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Barjet Vidoevski, 0-2. The Modrič Partizan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Modrič Partizan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
