Arian Simovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ranko Nastev, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th match minute, Strumica Napredok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikola Ristevski to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strumica Napredok's goalkeeper Arian Simovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Strumica Napredok's goal looked a bit too open when Ranko Nastev came free, but Arian Simovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, one of Strumica Napredok:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Strumica Napredok. In the 42nd match minute, Tearce Pobeda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dejan Daev to maneuver through the defense. If Georgi Dimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dejan Daev's late challenge caught a Strumica Napredok's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
