The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Deljan Sazdanov managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Dren Sloga's Luka Vikentijevski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Miron Trajcevski struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Deljan Sazdanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dren Sloga. The supporters of Gabrovo Sloboda booed when Dren Sloga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petrit Bardulla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gabrovo Sloboda's Jovče Avramovski got a free kick in the 11th minute. Veljan Stojkovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostadin Skenderovski having to interfere. A collision led to Dren Sloga getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Vojislav Dimitrov hit a great ball. Kostadin Skenderovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veljan Stojkovski in the 26th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Veljan Stojkovski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostadin Skenderovski was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Luka Vikentijevski hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Veljan Stojkovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tomislav Zlatev fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dren Sloga's protests and gave Tomislav Zlatev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, one of Dren Sloga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dren Sloga. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Gabrovo Sloboda. Oliver Mirkovič stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kostadin Skenderovski. 0-1. After the first half Gabrovo Sloboda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lirim Nesimi made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Dren Sloga got a freekick which was hit by Petrit Bardulla. A collision led to Dren Sloga getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Diljan Sokolov hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match Gazmir Ordanski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kostadin Skenderovski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kostadin Skenderovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lirim Nesimi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Vikentijevski in the 71st minute of play forced Gabrovo Sloboda's goalkeeper Deljan Sazdanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deljan Sazdanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Vikentijevski in the 73rd minute of play. Besnik Veseli hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Luka Vikentijevski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostadin Skenderovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lirim Nesimi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
