53 minutes into the match, Club Athletic Lëtzebuerg's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Carter came free, but Mark Wagner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Calne AFC's Martin Findley got a free kick in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elmar Behrend got free with Dave Tindale in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mark Wagner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vince Vickers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute of the match Fred Hundhammer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dave Tindale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mark Wagner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zack Morcom in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Zack Morcom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Wagner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Vince Vickers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mark Wagner was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. When Vince Vickers came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Calne AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vince Vickers couldn't finish the play.
