Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Freddy Heidenreich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Hodgson in the 3rd minute of play. Leo Lippmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Austin Cotterill when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Shipley's zone, Robbie Renner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Heidenreich came out of the goal and Robbie Renner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Bjorn Bodenstein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shipley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marden City the free kick. Bjorn Bodenstein kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marden City's zone, Ludwig Mahler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austin Cotterill came out of the goal and Ludwig Mahler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludwig Mahler in the 21st minute of play forced Marden City's goalkeeper Austin Cotterill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Marden City's goal looked a bit too open when Ludwig Mahler came free, but Austin Cotterill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Toby Hibbert fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marden City's protests and gave Toby Hibbert a yellow card for diving instead. Toby Hibbert kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Shipley's Freddy Heidenreich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by CJ Currie in the 28th minute of play. Freddy Heidenreich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Hodgson in the 30th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Leo Lippmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Austin Cotterill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freddy Heidenreich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Hodgson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Ludwig Mahler scored 2-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Austin Cotterill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Marden City's Austin Cotterill got control of the ball when Leo Lippmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ted Hodgson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Ted Hodgson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludwig Mahler in the 52nd minute of play forced Marden City's goalkeeper Austin Cotterill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Heidenreich made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when CJ Currie sent off a good shot on target. In the 56thth minute of the game Ludwig Mahler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marden City's Austin Cotterill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leo Lippmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shipley's Ludwig Mahler got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, CJ Currie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marden City's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Currie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Heidenreich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Shipley's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Hodgson came free, but Freddy Heidenreich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Austin Cotterill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marden City's Austin Cotterill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Lippmann in the 92nd minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Shipley's Ludwig Mahler made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Austin Cotterill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shipley's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
