Norman Page dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Kurt White's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norman Page was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Austen Sawbridge in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norman Page prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Buster Hall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norman Page. Pewsey's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Buster Hall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Kurt White fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Page having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Neil Lynch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pewsey and the Luxembourg players grew even worse after the yellow card. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Luxembourg's Austen Sawbridge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norman Page narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute Buster Hall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Page saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Alfie Purkiss made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Kurt White notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Pewsey's Norman Page. Norman Page was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luxembourg's Darren Carr was substituted for Kurt White. Luxembourg made a substitution. Glyn Cookson replaced Vance Attenborough. The supporters of Pewsey booed when Luxembourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 78 minutes of play, Pewsey's Kieran Eyre made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Halliday was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Louis Wright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pewsey's Norman Page proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Pewsey from getting a goal against them. When Austen Sawbridge came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Luxembourg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austen Sawbridge couldn't finish the play. Eric Haxby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Halliday read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Pewsey's goalkeeper Norman Page had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Austen Sawbridge. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darren Carr got free with Norman Page in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Carr in the 96th minute of play forced Pewsey's goalkeeper Norman Page to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luxembourg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
