Christof Lichtenstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christof Lichtenstein having to interfere. Jean-Claude Weber succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 10th playminute. 22 minutes into the match, Gloucester FC's goalkeeper Christof Lichtenstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Claude Weber. Jean-Claude Weber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christof Lichtenstein having to interfere. Fred Mutzel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvester Lampadius having to make a save. Martin Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christof Lichtenstein having to interfere. Jean-Claude Weber struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Christof Lichtenstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paxeko. Oskar von Waldersee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvester Lampadius having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Martin Hansen made the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Fred Mutzel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 54th minute, Jean-Claude Weber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christof Lichtenstein was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 58th minute, Jean-Claude Weber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Mutzel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Gloucester FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Fred Mutzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jean-Claude Weber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christof Lichtenstein having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Martin Hansen notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Gloucester FC's Christof Lichtenstein. Christof Lichtenstein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Silvester Lampadius successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Silvester Lampadius was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Oskar von Waldersee capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oskar von Waldersee really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1.
