Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jérôme Behm started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Bishop Auckland booed when RFC Union Luxembourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Steffen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Hübsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Lichtenstein having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Bishop Auckland's Mattias Hübsch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perry Lichtenstein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Hellmuth Bauschinger came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Bishop Auckland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hellmuth Bauschinger couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, RFC Union Luxembourg's goal looked a bit too open when Hellmuth Bauschinger came free, but Perry Lichtenstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perry Lichtenstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Hübsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hellmuth Bauschinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Perry Lichtenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perry Lichtenstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Hübsch in the 23rd minute of play. Perry Lichtenstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Hübsch in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Hellmuth Bauschinger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bishop Auckland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. RFC Union Luxembourg's Billy Achenbach got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hellmuth Bauschinger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes in the game, Mattias Hübsch dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Perry Lichtenstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hellmuth Bauschinger, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Bishop Auckland's Mattias Hübsch got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mattias Hübsch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. RFC Union Luxembourg's Perry Lichtenstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save RFC Union Luxembourg from getting a goal against them. Jérôme Behm might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liam Mutzel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jérôme Behm ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th match minute, RFC Union Luxembourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Steffen to maneuver through the defense. Liam Mutzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérôme Behm in the 61st minute of the match. Jérôme Behm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perry Lichtenstein made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Hellmuth Bauschinger sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, RFC Union Luxembourg's Perry Lichtenstein got control of the ball when Hellmuth Bauschinger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, RFC Union Luxembourg's Billy Achenbach made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Liam Mutzel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 84 minutes, Sam Günther managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bishop Auckland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Günther was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in RFC Union Luxembourg's zone, Mattias Hübsch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perry Lichtenstein came out of the goal and Mattias Hübsch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Hübsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Perry Lichtenstein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Hübsch's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Bishop Auckland's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
