An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Aumeier in the 25th minute of play forced Green Dragons's goalkeeper Laurent Müller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Dagobert Hopf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Bodenstein during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Aumeier couldn't finish the play. If Adrian Aumeier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, MARSHMELLOW's goalkeeper Heiko Baasch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Faehlmann. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Adrian Aumeier managed to get in a good position for a shot. MARSHMELLOW's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Aumeier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurent Müller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the MARSHMELLOW players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
