The Partington AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnny Bentley should have stopped the shot. After having played for 7 minutes, Tim Revell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Partington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Revell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mike Carragher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Abraham Wardell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Rheingold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Revell in the 20th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, comecus F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Revell came free, but Albert Rheingold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Wardell struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Albert Rheingold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Partington AFC. In the 27th match minute, comecus F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Brötzmann to maneuver through the defense. Albert Rheingold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Carragher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind comecus F.C's goalkeeper Albert Rheingold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, comecus F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Gerhardt to maneuver through the defense. When Partington AFC's Tim Revell in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars von Hompesch zu Bolheim in the 48th minute of play forced Partington AFC's goalkeeper Johnny Bentley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Partington AFC's Johnny Bentley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Partington AFC from getting a goal against them. Abraham Wardell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Albert Rheingold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes comecus F.C got a freekick which was hit by Siegfried Brockhaus. In the 88th minute, Partington AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Siegfried Brockhaus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abraham Wardell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Albert Rheingold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 minutes of play, Partington AFC's Tim Revell made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Rheingold was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Partington AFC were the better team. Partington AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
