The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boguslaw Zaworski scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierre von Radowitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute Jupp Grünfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sol Walsh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre von Radowitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boguslaw Zaworski in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Dominic Colt notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Turtle Towers Soccer's Pierre von Radowitz. Pierre von Radowitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dominic Colt might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierre von Radowitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dominic Colt ran back to his position shaking his head. When Friedrich Brandebourg fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Turtle Towers Soccer's protests and gave Friedrich Brandebourg a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Turtle Towers Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Friedrich Brandebourg. After 25 minutes of play Turtle Towers Soccer's Friedrich Brandebourg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Turtle Towers Soccer getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Friedrich Brandebourg hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes, Bingley FC's George Venables shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pierre von Radowitz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bingley FC reached it. Alfred Fröhlich received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sol Walsh came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfred Fröhlich slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 28th minute. Dominic Colt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre von Radowitz having to interfere. Pierre von Radowitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Zaworski in the 33rd minute of play. Sol Walsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jupp Grünfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Beverley in the 38th minute of play forced Turtle Towers Soccer's goalkeeper Pierre von Radowitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Boguslaw Zaworski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Colt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Clemence scored 1-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierre von Radowitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Bingley FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timothy Beauchêne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. William Clemence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Turtle Towers Soccer defense, Dominic Colt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre von Radowitz. The Turtle Towers Soccer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre von Radowitz should have stopped the shot. Jupp Grünfeld charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jupp Grünfeld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Turtle Towers Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jupp Grünfeld to maneuver through the defense. Sol Walsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jupp Grünfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
