Philip Babo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Ahle in the 3rd minute of play. Helsby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Wally Hauck scored to the left of an out of position Ed Rheingold, making the score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Españolux's goal looked a bit too open when William Bäumler came free, but Philip Babo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Luca Kubeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wally Hauck kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Españolux defense, William Bäumler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Babo. The Españolux fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Babo should have stopped the shot. Eddy Auf der Maur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Babo having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Otto Ahle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helsby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Ahle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eddy Auf der Maur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Lambert hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Helsby's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Majerus came free, but Ed Rheingold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Españolux booed when Helsby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Winkler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helsby's Ed Rheingold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Majerus in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Españolux's goal looked a bit too open when William Bäumler came free, but Philip Babo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ed Rheingold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Roth in the 39th minute of the match. Philip Babo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Ahle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lothar Buckholz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Babo having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otto Ahle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ed Rheingold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Roth in the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Wally Hauck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ed Rheingold. Helsby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wally Hauck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 55 minutes into the match, Helsby's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Roth came free, but Ed Rheingold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally Hauck in the 59th minute of play forced Helsby's goalkeeper Ed Rheingold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Bäumler struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Philip Babo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helsby. In the 60th match minute, Españolux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wally Hauck to maneuver through the defense. Philip Babo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Auf der Maur in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Españolux's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Auf der Maur came free, but Philip Babo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ed Rheingold didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Españolux's Charles Majerus shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Philip Babo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Españolux's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Auf der Maur came free, but Philip Babo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Wally Hauck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ed Rheingold was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Charles Majerus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Españolux's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Majerus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Ruben Winkler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Babo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Auf der Maur, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Gustav Furstenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Gustav Furstenfeld notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Helsby's Ed Rheingold. Ed Rheingold was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
