Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Drew Bullard took the kick off in the first half of the match. Theo Lonsdale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Slater, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Martyn Flynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sammy Cambridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Sevenoaks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Crowther to maneuver through the defense. Donny Fieldwick might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sammy Cambridge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donny Fieldwick ran back to his position shaking his head. Martyn Flynn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Cambridge having to interfere. A hard shot 18 in the game by Donny Fieldwick from a close distance when the talented Sammy Cambridge managed to make a qualified save. Horsham United's players were relieved. In the 21st minute Drew Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Lonsdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theo Lonsdale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Slater in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Sevenoaks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Theobold to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sevenoaks's zone, Drew Bullard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Lonsdale came out of the goal and Drew Bullard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Horsham United's goalkeeper Sammy Cambridge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martyn Flynn. Horsham United's Sammy Cambridge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Horsham United from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Drew Bullard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horsham United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Horsham United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donny Fieldwick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sevenoaks's goalkeeper Theo Lonsdale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sevenoaks's Theo Lonsdale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Bullard in the 54th minute of play. If Martyn Flynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute, Donny Fieldwick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sevenoaks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 66thth minute of the game Drew Bullard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sevenoaks's Theo Lonsdale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucas Dunning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sammy Cambridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Quentin Theobold was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Sevenoaks's Quentin Theobold got a free kick in the 74th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Drew Bullard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horsham United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Drew Bullard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sammy Cambridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martyn Flynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drew Bullard might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo Lonsdale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Drew Bullard ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Horsham United's Drew Bullard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theo Lonsdale. That made the score 1-2 after 96 minutes of play. The Horsham United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Horsham United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
