Georg Schleck ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Hawkcombe's zone, Edmund von Ancken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Juncker came out of the goal and Edmund von Ancken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hawkcombe's Henry Juncker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Beermann in the 12th minute of play. If Frankie Beermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie Beermann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Juncker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Edmund von Ancken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes, Kenny Holz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawkcombe and the Next generation football players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Next generation football booed when Hawkcombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Holz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Rudolph Hauck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Hantzsch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Christian Hantzsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Thimmesch in the 26th minute of the match. If Georg Schleck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Christian Hantzsch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frankie Beermann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmund von Ancken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Henry Juncker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Next generation football booed when Hawkcombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Guttenbrunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Frankie Beermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Next generation football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frankie Beermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenny Thimmesch in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Hantzsch saved Next generation football from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Next generation football's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Thimmesch came free, but Christian Hantzsch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmund von Ancken was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Next generation football's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 84 minutes into the match, Lenny Thimmesch notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Next generation football's Christian Hantzsch. Christian Hantzsch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henry Juncker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frankie Beermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Fred Nosbusch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Hantzsch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Hawkcombe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Next generation football for a fine match.
