In the 10th minute, Comunardo Piacentini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salice Cálabro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Felice Faiella recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuele Bianco. Felice Faiella showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Alex Fini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Nelli in the 18th minute of play. Comunardo Piacentini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Fini having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Tirolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Piacentini came free, but Alex Fini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberigo Russi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Emanuele Bianco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tirolo AFC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Piacentini in the 52nd minute of play forced Tirolo AFC's goalkeeper Alex Fini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 53 minutes, Comunardo Piacentini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salice Cálabro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Piacentini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute Comunardo Piacentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Fini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Comunardo Piacentini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alex Fini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Fini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Nelli in the 59th minute. Alfredo Bonelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberigo Russi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Bianco having to interfere. The Tirolo AFC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Tirolo AFC's Felice Faiella looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Comunardo Piacentini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Fini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Nelli in the 79th minute. A collision led to Tirolo AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Flavio Ubriaco hit a great ball. Eraldo Nelli came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alex Fini could save by the left post. Eraldo Nelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Alex Fini made a huge save. Emanuele Bianco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felice Faiella's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tirolo AFC's zone, Eraldo Nelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Fini came out of the goal and Eraldo Nelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Comunardo Piacentini in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Fini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Comunardo Piacentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Fini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salice Cálabro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristiano Passalacqua in the 98th minute.
