The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Anthony Uguccioni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marnate's Antonio Polo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Polo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Davide Casadei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Antonio Polo scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davide Casadei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Camillo Scacchi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Bolli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Alvise Russi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 53 minutes into the game, Ciccio Coletti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marnate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caselle FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Marnate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caselle FC:s goal. Davide Casadei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Bolli in the 61st minute of play. Anselmo Bolli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Emilio Tartaglia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvise Russi. Marnate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Tartaglia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Fulvio Pilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Bolli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Davide Casadei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Emilio Tartaglia took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Alvise Russi to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Caselle FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marnate throughout the match.
