Comeana FC's Diego Moriggi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corrado Marcucci in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Novaglie's Cosimo Quattrocchi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diego Moriggi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Corrado Marcucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Marcucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Diego Moriggi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Macchia kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Novaglie's Corrado Brambilla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Comeana FC. Diego Moriggi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosimo Quattrocchi in the 22nd minute. Claudio Picca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Donato Casale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 30 minutes on the clock, Francesco Trevisani commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 30 minutes into the game, one of Novaglie:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Comeana FC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Franco Ranalli, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Novaglie's Donato Casale. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Cosimo Quattrocchi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novaglie's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosimo Quattrocchi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Moriggi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Comeana FC booed when Novaglie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Guerrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Comeana FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cosimo Quattrocchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fortunato Santone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Diego Moriggi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cosimo Quattrocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlo Proietti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Diego Moriggi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Cosimo Quattrocchi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novaglie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosimo Quattrocchi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Novaglie's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Picca came free, but Donato Casale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Picca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Casale having to interfere. Demetrio Grimaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Demetrio Grimaldi came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Comeana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demetrio Grimaldi couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Cosimo Quattrocchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Comeana FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
