In the 14th minute Achille Betti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Gaspari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes of play, Borganzo AFC's Attilio Di Febo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferruccio Gaspari was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Attilio Di Febo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Gaspari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mortaiolo AFC's Antonello Del Nero got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Attilio Di Febo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Betti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ferruccio Gaspari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mortaiolo AFC! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Molinaro during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Francesco Molinaro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Attilio Di Febo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mortaiolo AFC's Ferruccio Gaspari was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Achille Betti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferruccio Gaspari. Mortaiolo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Achille Betti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Alfonso Fulgenzi fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borganzo AFC's protests and gave Alfonso Fulgenzi a yellow card for diving instead. Alfonso Fulgenzi kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Attilio Di Febo made a kick off. The supporters of Borganzo AFC booed when Mortaiolo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Molinaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mortaiolo AFC's Ferruccio Gaspari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Di Febo in the 56th minute of play. Attilio Di Febo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Achille Betti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ferruccio Gaspari made a huge save. If Francesco Lizzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Betti might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferruccio Gaspari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Achille Betti ran back to his position shaking his head. If Achille Betti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Attilio Di Febo in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferruccio Gaspari prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferruccio Gaspari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Di Febo in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Attilio Di Febo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borganzo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Di Febo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes Mortaiolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Tullo. If Francesco Lizzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Attilio Di Febo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Gaspari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Borganzo AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mortaiolo AFC throughout the match.
