Ferruccio Gaspari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Fioriti in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes, Antonello Del Nero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mortaiolo AFC and the Rubiera players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Mortaiolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Del Nero. Alberto Pompilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferruccio Gaspari having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Tullo during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabiano Tullo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Ciccio Piano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mortaiolo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rubiera the free kick. The supporters of Rubiera booed when Mortaiolo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Piano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Camillo Fioriti notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mortaiolo AFC's Ferruccio Gaspari. Ferruccio Gaspari was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carmine Baur made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ciccio Piano sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Alberto Pompilio put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ferruccio Gaspari. Cesare Bertini kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match, Francesco Lizzi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carmine Baur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ferruccio Gaspari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Pompilio's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Carmine Baur came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Mortaiolo AFC's Antonello Del Nero. But to his dismay, Antonello Del Nero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ferruccio Gaspari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Pompilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Camillo Fioriti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rubiera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camillo Fioriti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Cesare Bertini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Gaspari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Emiliano Ferrario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mortaiolo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rubiera the free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francesco Lizzi to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Mazzone during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. One of Mortaiolo AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rubiera:s goal. Thanks to some nice moves Camillo Fioriti could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Ferruccio Gaspari however easily saved by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rubiera eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
