After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Francesco Carciofo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cagliari FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Carciofo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Colaneri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corcagnano AFC. Carter Buccella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Eugenio Colaneri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Pagliarini in the 13th minute of play forced Corcagnano AFC's goalkeeper Cesare Baciadonne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Alvise Ciaccia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eugenio Colaneri. The goal made the score 1-0. Cesare Baciadonne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Carciofo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvise Ciaccia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Colaneri having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Cagliari FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Bonanni to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Eugenio Colaneri managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Corcagnano AFC's Carter Buccella fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute, Francesco Carciofo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Pagliarini made a kick off. Carter Buccella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
