Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dennis Pagliarini kicked off to start the match. 8 minutes into the game, one of Pontedassio FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dennis Pagliarini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eugenio Colaneri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Petito, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Dennis Pagliarini came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Cagliari FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Pagliarini couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elia Angelucci during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cagliari FC booed when Pontedassio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Angelucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cagliari FC's Francesco Carciofo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Francesco Carciofo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Sardella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Pagliarini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Sardella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Pontedassio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Flammini to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes Pontedassio FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Mariotti. Dennis Pagliarini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pontedassio FC's zone, Dennis Pagliarini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Sardella came out of the goal and Dennis Pagliarini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Bernardo Margoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amedeo Petito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Colaneri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Petito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Diego Sardella managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Cagliari FC's Dennis Pagliarini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Pontedassio FC's Diego Sardella got control of the ball when Francesco Carciofo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diego Sardella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Pagliarini in the 77th minute of the match. Diego Sardella came out of the goal and Dennis Pagliarini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amedeo Petito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Colaneri having to interfere. Carlo De Grandis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Cagliari FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pontedassio FC.
