Francesco Santo started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Damiano Di Cesare notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Milano Marittima's Carlo Barone. Carlo Barone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ercole Genovese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Zoff in the 10th minute of play. Ercole Genovese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Nelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Alessio Zoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ercole Genovese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Zoff in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Francesco Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caslino Al Piano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Milano Marittima's Ferdinando Buccella got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Ferdinando Buccella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlo Barone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ercole Genovese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Zoff in the 32nd minute of play. Damiano Di Cesare came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlo Barone could save by the left post. If Francesco Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carlo Corna fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caslino Al Piano's protests and gave Carlo Corna a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Milano Marittima booed when Caslino Al Piano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Corna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caslino Al Piano's zone, Armando Nelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercole Genovese came out of the goal and Armando Nelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alessio Zoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ercole Genovese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessio Zoff made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Damiano Di Cesare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Barone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Francesco Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damiano Di Cesare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinando Buccella hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Francesco Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Carlo Barone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ercole Genovese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Zoff in the 65th minute of the match. Armando Nelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessio Zoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Genovese having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Damiano Di Cesare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amedeo Sasso kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Franco Scrima sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caslino Al Piano's Ercole Genovese didn't even have to move. Arturo Fabrizi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ercole Genovese made a huge save. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caslino Al Piano's goalkeeper Ercole Genovese, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caslino Al Piano's Ercole Genovese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Caslino Al Piano from getting a goal against them.
