Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Achille Di Campli got the match started through his kick off. Palazzina AFC's Aurelio Di Vito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Di Campli in the 5th minute of play. Ermanno Luciani's late challenge caught a Garbagna Novarese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermanno Luciani helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Palazzina AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ermanno Luciani hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Achille Di Campli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Di Vito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filippo Colelli in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Di Vito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Garbagna Novarese's zone, Alvise Colantoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Concetto Caroli came out of the goal and Alvise Colantoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonso Benarrivo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Concetto Caroli. Garbagna Novarese's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palazzina AFC's Enrico Schiavoni got a free kick in the 17th minute. Garbagna Novarese's Armin Tosi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Palazzina AFC. Filippo Colelli struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Aurelio Di Vito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garbagna Novarese. In the 22nd minute, Palazzina AFC's Alvise Colantoni dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 30th minute, Palazzina AFC's Bruno Zoccolo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Concetto Caroli. Concetto Caroli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 32nd match minute, Palazzina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Limitone to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th match minute, Palazzina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Di Lillo to maneuver through the defense. If Achille Di Campli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Di Vito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filippo Colelli's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Alvise Colantoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Concetto Caroli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Alvise Colantoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garbagna Novarese's Achille Di Campli got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Comunardo Silvestre's late challenge caught a Palazzina AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comunardo Silvestre helped the player get up and apologised. Comunardo Silvestre hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Achille Di Campli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Di Vito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Garbagna Novarese's Achille Di Campli got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Achille Di Campli was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Garbagna Novarese's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Achille Di Campli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Palazzina AFC had played much better football throughout.
