Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Augusto Barresi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Comunardo Morelli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gaiano AFC's zone, Comunardo Morelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Barresi came out of the goal and Comunardo Morelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Perilli kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Eugenio Rosetta made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Barresi. Gaiano AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 18 minutes into the game, Corrado Cesareo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cesare Nardone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Corrado Cesareo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Gaiano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Cesareo couldn't finish the play. Antonio Proia kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Gaiano AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavio Perilli in the 31st minute. Gaiano AFC's Enzo Morini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cesare Nardone in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Gaiano AFC's Corrado Cesareo in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mezzavilla's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elia Pizzi in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Nardone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonio Proia kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Corrado Cesareo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesare Nardone having to make a save. In the 38th match minute, Mezzavilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Ciraci to maneuver through the defense. If Eugenio Rosetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Aurelio De Angelis's late challenge caught a Mezzavilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio De Angelis helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Gaiano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio De Angelis. Eugenio Rosetta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Barresi having to interfere. Eugenio Rosetta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mezzavilla booed when Gaiano AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Santalucia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesare Nardone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elia Pizzi in the 64th minute of the match. Gaiano AFC's Corrado Cesareo got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elia Pizzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesare Nardone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, one of Gaiano AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Mezzavilla a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emiliano Marongiu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gaiano AFC's Augusto Barresi. 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mezzavilla's zone, Corrado Cesareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Nardone came out of the goal and Corrado Cesareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Barresi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugenio Rosetta went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gaiano AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mezzavilla.
