Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Comunardo Morelli got the match started through his kick off. Franco Caracciolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Cesare Nardone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th match minute, Azzano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Bertoni to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Azzano's zone, Eugenio Rosetta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Gianfrancesco came out of the goal and Eugenio Rosetta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Comunardo Morelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Bondi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Comunardo Morelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azzano's Fausto Gianfrancesco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mezzavilla's Cesare Nardone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Bondi in the 35th minute of play. When Antonio Proia fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mezzavilla's protests and gave Antonio Proia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Mezzavilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Proia to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabiano Bondi to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Mezzavilla defense, Fabiano Bondi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesare Nardone. The Mezzavilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesare Nardone should have stopped the shot. The Azzano fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Azzano's Franco Caracciolo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Franco Caracciolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Azzano booed when Mezzavilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Ciraci didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Azzano's goalkeeper Fausto Gianfrancesco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Rosetta. Franco Caracciolo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Mezzavilla defense, Fabiano Bondi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesare Nardone. The Mezzavilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesare Nardone should have stopped the shot. Fausto Gianfrancesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Morelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eugenio Rosetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Mezzavilla's Comunardo Morelli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fausto Gianfrancesco. Fausto Gianfrancesco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. If Franco Caracciolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
