When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Alberi FC's Amerigo Demaria got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cesare Nardone. In the 11thth minute of the game Ferdinando Giordani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mezzavilla's Cesare Nardone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mezzavilla's zone, Ferdinando Giordani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Nardone came out of the goal and Ferdinando Giordani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferruccio Porcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Nardone having to interfere. Emanuele Brandini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesare Nardone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdinando Giordani went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ferruccio Porcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesare Nardone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Porcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Federico Giansante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mezzavilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alberi FC the free kick. Federico Giansante hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mezzavilla's Antonio Proia got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Cesare Nardone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Porcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eugenio Rosetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Rosetta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The wind increased when Ferruccio Porcu made the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Rosetta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ferruccio Porcu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesare Nardone was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alberi FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Eugenio Rosetta in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fausto Navarra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ferdinando Giordani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Navarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Morelli in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferruccio Porcu in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Nardone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute, Amerigo Demaria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Mezzavilla's Emiliano Marongiu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Alberi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Morelli came free, but Fausto Navarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Alberi FC's Ferruccio Porcu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesare Nardone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Fausto Navarra was a little too slow when Comunardo Morelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-2. Comunardo Morelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fausto Navarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Ferdinando Giordani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Nardone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amerigo Demaria succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to get real power on a long shot . Mezzavilla's Cesare Nardone hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 4-2! After 95 minutes, Alfonso Romagnoli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mezzavilla and the Alberi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mezzavilla getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alfonso Romagnoli hit a great ball. Anthony Luciano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 98 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the game, one of Alberi FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Mezzavilla a penalty, 101 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emiliano Marongiu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alberi FC's Fausto Navarra. 4-3.
