The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Beppe Marinacci came out of the goal and Cosimo Colucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Sangermano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessio Carota having to interfere. Camillo Lazzaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alessio Carota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Concessa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Lazzaro came free, but Alessio Carota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ciro Puddu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Fabio Pollastrini could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Beppe Marinacci however easily saved by the left post. Alessio Carota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Sangermano in the 35th minute of the match. Cosimo Colucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 46 minutes, Augusto Sangermano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guzzano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Sangermano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Concessa FC booed when Guzzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Sangermano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Puddu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beppe Marinacci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Beppe Marinacci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Colucci in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Lazzaro in the 63rd minute of play forced Concessa FC's goalkeeper Alessio Carota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guzzano's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Lazzaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessio Carota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
