The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beppe Saturno during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Anthony Masi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Vema FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Masi couldn't finish the play. When Dino Campoli fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. 57 minutes into the match, Elia Pietropaolo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Giordani. Vema FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elia Pietropaolo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 65th minute of the match, Anthony Masi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alvise De Carolis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Ercole Miconi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elia Pietropaolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Diego Giordani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthony Masi in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvise De Carolis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvise De Carolis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Masi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Fulvio Gerola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise De Carolis having to interfere. Vema FC's Anthony Masi got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vema FC's zone, Ercole Miconi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Giordani came out of the goal and Ercole Miconi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anthony Masi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sessarego FC had won after a very even match.
