The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alvise Fabri fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pittolo AFC's protests and gave Alvise Fabri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Alvise Fabri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Borgatello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Natale went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alex Bassani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Schiacciacasse having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pittolo AFC's Alvise Fabri got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Cassano Magnago FC's Alex Bassani got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Bassani might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Schiacciacasse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Bassani ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonello Di Maria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Demetrio Borgatello made a huge save. If Alex Bassani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonello Di Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Schiacciacasse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Bassani in the 79th minute of the match.
