In the 16th minute of the match Donato Tripodi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Schiacciacasse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Franco Natale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Franco Natale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Federici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Santucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fiorino FC's Amos Federici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Fiorino FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Franco Natale kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amos Federici. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. Augusto Santucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Schiacciacasse having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pittolo AFC's Alvise Fabri got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Ercole Tabacchi came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Fiorino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercole Tabacchi couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, Pittolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Santucci came free, but Alex Schiacciacasse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

53 minutes into the match, Fiorino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Di Maria came free, but Amos Federici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fiorino FC defense, Franco Natale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amos Federici. The Fiorino FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amos Federici should have stopped the shot. If Ercole Tabacchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dino Di Bartolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Schiacciacasse was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Amos Federici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Natale in the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fiorino FC's zone, Antonello Di Maria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amos Federici came out of the goal and Antonello Di Maria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
