In the 3rd minute Dino Guidone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Pizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Damiano Burelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Concetto Sammartano. Grugno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damiano Burelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cosimo Di Liddo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Grugno's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Burelli came free, but Concetto Sammartano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Dino Guidone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Pizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Anselmo Loreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dino Guidone made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Dino Guidone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coviolo FC's Antonio Pizzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute, Anselmo Loreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grugno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Anselmo Loreto struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Antonio Pizzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grugno. The Grugno fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Grugno's Dino Guidone looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cosimo Di Liddo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Concetto Sammartano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Guidone struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Antonio Pizzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grugno. In the 76th match minute, Coviolo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anfilogino Berardo to maneuver through the defense. Dino Guidone struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Antonio Pizzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grugno. In the 89th minute, Anselmo Loreto made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Pizzi. Coviolo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Alessio Iovine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Pizzi having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Coviolo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grugno.
