Dino Natale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrizio Di Meo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avegno's Daniele Fiore got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino Natale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Di Meo in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Avegno's Enrico Zappacosta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessio Marongiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armin Minati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Natale having to interfere. When Fabrizio Di Meo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ognissanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrizio Di Meo couldn't finish the play. Amedeo Corvo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amedeo Corvo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enrico Zappacosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessio Marongiu having to interfere. In the 47th play minute Ferruccio Spadoni came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alessio Marongiu. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armin Minati stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabrizio Di Meo took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Natale. Dino Natale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 61 minutes, Eugenio Porcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avegno and the Ognissanti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Avegno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Porcu to maneuver through the defense. If Armin Minati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armin Minati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Natale having to interfere. The supporters of Ognissanti booed when Avegno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferruccio Spadoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Enrico Zappacosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ognissanti's zone, Enrico Zappacosta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessio Marongiu came out of the goal and Enrico Zappacosta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrico Zappacosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avegno had won after a very even match.
