Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alvise Grieco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Abete in the 6th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mondello defense, Bernardo Abete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvise Grieco. The Mondello fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvise Grieco should have stopped the shot. Alvise Grieco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Abete, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Lorenzi in the 15th minute of play forced Mondello's goalkeeper Alvise Grieco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Abete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Bernardo Abete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rasiglio's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Abete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise Grieco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amedeo Ferrara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rasiglio's Demetrio Pensa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Cristiano Carlini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfonso Ronconi. Rasiglio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alfonso Ronconi made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Amedeo Ferrara sent off a good shot on target. Edmondo Zollino charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmondo Zollino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Corrado Di Liddo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amedeo Ferrara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Ronconi having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Lorenzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Rasiglio's goal looked a bit too open when Corrado Di Liddo came free, but Alfonso Ronconi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mondello booed when Rasiglio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Troiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Mondello's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Lorenzi came free, but Alvise Grieco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Edmondo Zollino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Lorenzi struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alvise Grieco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rasiglio. In the 73rd minute, Amedeo Ferrara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mondello fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Demetrio Pensa charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demetrio Pensa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, one of Rasiglio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rasiglio. Alfonso Ronconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Di Liddo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Concetto Labate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 89th play minutes Donato Lorenzi shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Alvise Grieco and just under the crossbar into goal. Alvise Grieco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Lorenzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmondo Zollino hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Mondello's Alvise Grieco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Lorenzi in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Andrea Mori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 100th minute of the match Cristiano Carlini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Ronconi skillfully saved the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
