The nice shot from Alberto Cicchini in the 6thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ciccio Di Giulio had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Montecavolo FC's zone, Edmondo Sabatino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Di Giulio came out of the goal and Edmondo Sabatino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conventello's Felice Genovese suffered a sore thigh after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Amerigo Moreschi charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Moreschi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amerigo Moreschi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Conventello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Sabatino to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Amerigo Verna made a precise shot to the right of Fabrizio Del Duca. Conventello's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Federico Castagna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Di Giulio having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Anthony De Matteis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montecavolo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony De Matteis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Alberto Cicchini got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ciccio Di Giulio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Cicchini in the 30th minute. Alberto Cicchini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Di Giulio having to interfere. Alberto Cicchini's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Ciccio Di Giulio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th minute, Federico Castagna made a precise shot to the right of Ciccio Di Giulio. Montecavolo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Alberto Cicchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Filice took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabrizio Del Duca. Conventello's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Amerigo Verna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montecavolo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Verna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrizio Del Duca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Conventello's goalkeeper Fabrizio Del Duca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amerigo Verna. In the 76th minute, Alberto Cicchini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aldo Tripodi kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Edmondo Sabatino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alberto Cicchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Cicchini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Cicchini in the 87th minute of play forced Montecavolo FC's goalkeeper Ciccio Di Giulio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conventello's Fabrizio Del Duca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony De Matteis in the 90th minute of play. Alberto Cicchini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciccio Di Giulio having to make a save. Amerigo Verna struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Fabrizio Del Duca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montecavolo FC. 97 minutes into the game, Demetrio Brandolini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Conventello's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montecavolo FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of Conventello:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montecavolo FC:s goal. Although Conventello had been in control for most of the match, Montecavolo FC still came away with the win.
