Secondigliano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Aurelio Cinalli scored to the left of an out of position Enrico Iacovella, making the score, 1-0. In the 5th minute, Alfredo Rullo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuele Anzolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Bussi having to interfere. When Alfredo Rullo fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cadibona's protests and gave Alfredo Rullo a yellow card for diving instead. Armin Gava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Bussi having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Secondigliano's goalkeeper Enrico Iacovella had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Padula. Frank Cardillo's late challenge caught a Cadibona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Cardillo helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Secondigliano got a freekick which was hit by Frank Cardillo. The supporters of Cadibona booed when Secondigliano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco De Grandis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Cadibona got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Rullo. 29 minutes into the match, Cadibona's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Gava came free, but Anselmo Bussi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Emanuele Anzolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Bussi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armin Gava made a kick off. Anselmo Bussi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Cardillo in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Armin Gava ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Bussi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Secondigliano's Enrico Iacovella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Padula in the 80th minute of play. Aurelio Padula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Armin Gava shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Bussi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
