Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bologna's Andrea Casadei got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Arturo Finocchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Arturo Finocchi came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Fiumazzo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Finocchi couldn't finish the play. Andrea Causio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessandro Melis's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Cesare Brini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fiumazzo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesare Brini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrea Casadei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ermanno Grilli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match, Aldo Silvagni tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ermanno Grilli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Fiumazzo AFC's zone, Andrea Casadei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermanno Grilli came out of the goal and Andrea Casadei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Andrea Casadei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bologna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrea Casadei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrea Causio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Finocchi in the 31st minute of the match. Alessandro Melis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th match minute, Fiumazzo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Alfonsi to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Andrea Casadei notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Fiumazzo AFC's Ermanno Grilli. Ermanno Grilli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Silvagni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Melis in the 60th minute of play forced Bologna's goalkeeper Andrea Causio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alessandro Melis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Andrea Casadei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermanno Grilli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Finocchi took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrea Causio. Andrea Causio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Andrea Causio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Melis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes, Bologna's Damiano Serra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ermanno Grilli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bologna reached it. If Andrea Casadei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrea Casadei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermanno Grilli having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Cesare Brini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fiumazzo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bologna the free kick. The supporters of Bologna booed when Fiumazzo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Brini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 minutes Fiumazzo AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damiano Serra who took care of the corner kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
