Andrea Causio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Picozzi in the 12th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Bologna's Andrea Casadei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Caniglia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 24 minutes, Andrea Casadei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bologna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrea Casadei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aldo Silvagni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony Caniglia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Anselmo Quadrini's late challenge caught a Bologna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Quadrini helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cornaiano's Anselmo Quadrini got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Cornaiano's Attilio Picozzi, in the 29th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cornaiano. Bianco Cardano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Cornaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Casadei came free, but Anthony Caniglia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bologna's Ernesto Sivieri got a free kick in the 40th minute. Andrea Causio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Picozzi in the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Fabiano Lozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornaiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Lozzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrea Causio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabiano Lozzi struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Andrea Causio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornaiano. Attilio Picozzi kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Aldo Silvagni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Caniglia having to interfere. Fabiano Lozzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrea Causio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano Lozzi ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the game, Francesco Fabrizio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cornaiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bologna the free kick. A collision led to Cornaiano getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Francesco Fabrizio hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
