Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donato Gentili started the match with the kick off. When Frank Barducci came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Cerreto Alto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Barducci couldn't finish the play. When Cerreto Alto AFC's Ferdinando Pennetta in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castiglione FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Cerreto Alto AFC booed when Castiglione FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Nanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinando Pennetta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Stefano having to interfere. If Ferdinando Pennetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castiglione FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Stefano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Cerreto Alto AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donato Gentili fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 20th minute, Filippo Tullio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castiglione FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alfredo Stefano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Lusi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Felice Benedetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Gagliano having to interfere. Alfredo Stefano came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Cerreto Alto AFC's Ferdinando Pennetta. But to his dismay, Ferdinando Pennetta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Castiglione FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Stefano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Amerigo Vago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Castiglione FC's Filippo Tullio got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Castiglione FC's Antonio Carrea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cerreto Alto AFC. Amerigo Vago kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo Tullio got free with Alberto Gagliano in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fortunato Lusi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castiglione FC! Filippo Tullio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alberto Gagliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ferdinando Pennetta came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cerreto Alto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinando Pennetta couldn't finish the play. Amerigo Vago charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Vago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Castiglione FC's zone, Fortunato Lusi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Stefano came out of the goal and Fortunato Lusi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Cerreto Alto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Gentili came free, but Alberto Gagliano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Nanni hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Alfredo Stefano made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ferdinando Pennetta sent off a good shot on target. After 88 played minutes Cerreto Alto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Brunetta. After recieving a nice pass, Castiglione FC's Antonio Carrea tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alberto Gagliano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Castellazzi in the 92nd minute of the match. Ferruccio Ruggieri hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Castiglione FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cerreto Alto AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cerreto Alto AFC.
