Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlo De Iuliis kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Bernardo Lucidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Limitone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo De Iuliis, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute of the match Corrado De Laurentiis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Limitone skillfully saved the ball. Enzo Cristofari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Crispino having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Porro got free with Edmondo Crispino in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the game, Alvaro Porro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edmondo Crispino. Alvaro Porro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo De Iuliis in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Limitone saved Caluri from getting behind. After 27 minutes, Cristiano Tammaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mezzate and the Caluri players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Mezzate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Tammaro to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Edmondo Crispino managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Caluri's Alvaro Porro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 30 minutes into the match, Mezzate's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Cristofari came free, but Edmondo Crispino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Porro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Schiavoni charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Schiavoni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mezzate booed when Caluri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Schiavoni didn't get a good kick on the ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enzo Cristofari to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Caluri were awarded a corner. Alberto Palermo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Palermo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmondo Crispino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alvaro Porro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Edmondo Crispino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmondo Crispino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Cristofari, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mezzate's zone, Alvaro Porro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmondo Crispino came out of the goal and Alvaro Porro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmondo Crispino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvaro Porro went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Alvaro Porro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Edmondo Crispino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Mezzate got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Bonfigli. Alvaro Porro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlo De Iuliis struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Alfredo Limitone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mezzate. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Lucidi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Limitone was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caluri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mezzate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
