Carlo De Iuliis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Gagliano having to interfere. If Bernardo Lucidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Lusi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edmondo Crispino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlo De Iuliis in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Gagliano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Mezzate's Enzo Monzeglio got a free kick in the 25th minute. Cerreto Alto AFC's Frank Barducci got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmondo Crispino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Barducci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Carlo De Iuliis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alberto Gagliano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardo Lucidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Gagliano having to interfere. Bernardo Lucidi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Amerigo Vago charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Vago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Cerreto Alto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Vago to maneuver through the defense. If Carlo De Iuliis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Gagliano made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Bernardo Lucidi sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Mezzate's Bernardo Lucidi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 56 minutes, Fortunato Lusi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerreto Alto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Lusi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Mezzate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Monzeglio to maneuver through the defense. Cerreto Alto AFC's Edmondo Coscarella suffered a sprained foot after 63 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Dave Palleschi fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mezzate's protests and gave Dave Palleschi a yellow card for diving instead. Dave Palleschi hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Cesare Mandelli kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Alberto Gagliano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Lucidi in the 73rd minute of play. Fortunato Lusi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Fabio Bonfigli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Carlo De Iuliis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Gagliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Armando Vespa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerreto Alto AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mezzate the free kick. Armando Vespa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Fortunato Lusi struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Edmondo Crispino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerreto Alto AFC. Mezzate's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
