The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bianco Leone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Franco Di Giuseppe made a huge save. When Eraldo Torelli fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zena AFC's protests and gave Eraldo Torelli a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zena AFC's Eraldo Torelli got a free kick in the 12th minute. Vigo Meano FC's Fedele Lauri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Zena AFC. In the 18th minute Beppe Liberati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Di Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Di Giuseppe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Ruscitti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bianco Leone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Franco Di Giuseppe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vigo Meano FC's zone, Bernardo Ruscitti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Di Giuseppe came out of the goal and Bernardo Ruscitti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Vigo Meano FC's goalkeeper Franco Di Giuseppe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bianco Leone. Bernardo Ruscitti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Di Giuseppe having to interfere. Franco Di Giuseppe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bianco Leone's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Bernardo Ruscitti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Di Giuseppe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Beppe Liberati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Di Marino having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Beppe Liberati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bianco Leone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Di Giuseppe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vigo Meano FC's Fortunato Egidi got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Bianco Leone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Vigo Meano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Ruscitti came free, but Franco Di Giuseppe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Ruscitti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bianco Leone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Vigo Meano FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Giardino. Ermanno Montaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Di Marino having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Zena AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Liberati came free, but Damiano Di Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermanno Montaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Damiano Di Marino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Zena AFC getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Eraldo Torelli hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zena AFC had won after a very even match.
