Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aldo Tosi made the kick off which started today's match. Aldo Tosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Edmondo Ottavi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Tesone in the 13th minute of play forced Pontoncello's goalkeeper Edoardo Muciaccia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dave Tesone kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edoardo Muciaccia. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Tosi in the 18th minute of play forced San Barnaba's goalkeeper Edmondo Ottavi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Barnaba's Dave Tesone got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dave Tesone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pontoncello's zone, Dave Tesone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edoardo Muciaccia came out of the goal and Dave Tesone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the game, Pontoncello's Davide Tacconelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmondo Ottavi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Pontoncello's Edoardo Muciaccia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Tesone in the 30th minute of play. Dave Tesone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Edoardo Muciaccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Di Luca hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Pontoncello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Di Giandomenico to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Colantoni was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Alexander Di Giandomenico's late challenge caught a San Barnaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Di Giandomenico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Pontoncello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Di Giandomenico to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, Pontoncello's goalkeeper Edoardo Muciaccia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Concetto Colantoni. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Tesone to strike the kick off in the second half. Dave Tesone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute of the match, Davide Tacconelli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmondo Ottavi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Edoardo Muciaccia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Colantoni in the 69th minute of the match. If Dave Tesone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Pontoncello's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Tesone came free, but Edoardo Muciaccia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Carlo Zuccarini came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the San Barnaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Zuccarini couldn't finish the play. San Barnaba were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
