Cristiano Ranalli came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Fornacino's Franco Campo. But to his dismay, Franco Campo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fornacino's Arturo Baresi got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Coccolia AFC's Cristiano Ranalli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Baresi in the 24th minute of play. Cristiano Ranalli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Baresi in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Fornacino's goalkeeper Cristiano Centofanti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dino Briganti. Ferdinando Luzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Centofanti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Fornacino's Cristiano Centofanti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Fornacino from getting a goal against them. Franco Campo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Ranalli having to interfere. Franco Campo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Cristiano Ranalli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fornacino. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinando Luzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ferdinando Luzi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Fornacino's Cristiano Centofanti. Cristiano Centofanti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio Milanese's late challenge caught a Fornacino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabio Milanese helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Milanese hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Fornacino defense, Dino Briganti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Centofanti. The Fornacino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Centofanti should have stopped the shot. Fausto Marcelli kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Ferdinando Luzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Centofanti. Fornacino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferdinando Luzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 80 minutes into the match, Coccolia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Baresi came free, but Cristiano Ranalli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dino Briganti fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coccolia AFC's protests and gave Dino Briganti a yellow card for diving instead. Dino Briganti kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Coccolia AFC's zone, Arturo Baresi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Ranalli came out of the goal and Arturo Baresi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Coccolia AFC's Cristiano Ranalli got control of the ball when Franco Campo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arturo Baresi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Ranalli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Cristiano Centofanti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Luzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Ferdinando Luzi struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Cristiano Centofanti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coccolia AFC. Fornacino's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Coccolia AFC had won, even though Fornacino had held more of the ball.
