Damiano Granato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Imperia FC's zone, Ferdinando Luzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano Granato came out of the goal and Ferdinando Luzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Imperia FC's Damiano Granato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Briganti in the 29th minute of play. Ferdinando Luzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Granato having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Federico Manzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Coccolia AFC's Anthony Ranalli broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Damiano Granato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Luzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damiano Granato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Briganti in the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuele Munno to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Coccolia AFC's Ferdinando Luzi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damiano Granato. Damiano Granato yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Ferdinando Luzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damiano Granato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuele Munno in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Ranalli saved Coccolia AFC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Alberto Mameli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Ranalli was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Ferdinando Luzi struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Damiano Granato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coccolia AFC. 89 minutes in the game, Dino Briganti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Damiano Granato having to interfere. If Dino Briganti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fabio Milanese was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. Fabio Milanese kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
