The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Picarelli FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vázia:s goal. In the 5th minute, Ferdinando Rocchetti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vázia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alberigo Azzolina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Cino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Bocchi's late challenge caught a Vázia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Bocchi helped the player get up and apologised. Angelo Bocchi hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Alberigo Azzolina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Braccia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Cino in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberigo Azzolina saved Picarelli FC from getting behind. Donato Pellicciotta was a little too slow when Amedeo Lucentini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 37th match minute, Picarelli FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Salerni to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Cino in the 39th minute of play forced Picarelli FC's goalkeeper Alberigo Azzolina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Cino to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Picarelli FC's protests and gave Cosimo Salerni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Cosimo Salerni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amedeo Lucentini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
