Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Amerigo Madaio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Florian Topatigh came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Aranova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Topatigh couldn't finish the play. In the 9thth minute of the game Daniele Vanni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aranova's Ciro Angelucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amerigo Madaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Amerigo Madaio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Davide Ferraro. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Florian Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ciro Angelucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sale AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Amerigo Madaio 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Daniele Vanni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amerigo Madaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Davide Ferraro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sale AFC's Davide Ferraro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Madaio in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Picca got free with Davide Ferraro in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Armando Trinca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Picca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Daniele Vanni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sale AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniele Vanni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Angelucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniele Vanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Angelucci having to interfere. Ciro Angelucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Vanni in the 82nd minute of play. Sale AFC played a much better game than Aranova and deserved their victory. The Aranova players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
