Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aurelia's Ferruccio Biscotti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ciro Cangiano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ferdinando Walcher. When Fortunato Eleuteri fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaggio's protests and gave Fortunato Eleuteri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gaggio getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fortunato Eleuteri hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Aurelia's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Sabatino came free, but Ciro Cangiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Nero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaggio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aurelia the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Luciano in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrea Chizzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Aurelia getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Anthony Ferri hit a great ball. Gaggio's Ferdinando Walcher got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adriano Bonfigli fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaggio's protests and gave Adriano Bonfigli a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aurelia booed when Gaggio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Bonfigli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Picca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Anselmo Sabatino made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 59 minutes, Adriano Luciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aurelia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Luciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Adriano Luciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aurelia's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Luciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferruccio Biscotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Andrea Chizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Sabatino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciro Cangiano was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
